From the Native Plant society show on the weekend in Bendigo.... some more gums

This is so serene I think 

This one is a really citrusy yellow ....amazing colour

This one is in flower right next door & up the back on the hill.   I see the parrots & the wattle bird drinking from the flowers

This is a grevillea I think....the flowers were so busy I thought "this will make a good photo"

Grew some of these in the Canberra garden

It was interesting strolling around the plants & the plant stalls....it took me back to when we planted that huge block of land in Canberra & I would go to the native plant society sales in Canberra once a month I think in those times...

Come home with little tubes of selected plants.

I could not plant much here although I do have some bottle brushes in pots & some callestemons in the side common garden  

I just love this, it is this one or a similiar Hakea that has recently been planted on nature strips in Kangaroo Flat...It is a neat shape & the flowers spike up & look so stunning.

Hakeas can be just that beauty

This is the other hakea with beautiful red brush flowers

I kept this photo on it's side to enable label reading... as once I turned the photo I lost the words..

It is some native lime..

Small fruit & such a beautiful look.

At times I think oh no I won't go to this or that display.... but you know I always gain something of interest from the shows or displays...

This was no exception.....

It also took me back...in my big gardening days...

I don't miss it, but I enjoyed that experience of the big garden & visiting this Flower show...

A change from my work...

Yesterday I went to view a property in White Hills Bendigo that was being filmed for 

Selling Houses Australia TV show.

This was the beginnings of the journey this old weatherboard Masonic Hall that is now a home with some incredible features ...

The makeover will be interesting... in April I think it will air on TV

Then I roamed to look at the native plants on display in Kangaroo Flat

&

the day was so hot.... I actually got underway with packing....more to it today !

Spring & flowers 

Colour is everywhere.

I collected these at a class on Thursday...

 Just flowers for home.... gorgeous tulips lasted longer than I expected...so they sit at my front door together with roses...

I went to look at the Australian Native Plant society in Bendigo's displays

It is on again today

I have made some promises to myself today...

One is walk while sun shines...

Two is pack this lot in a box for transporting to my trunk shows & beyond...

It is great at times when I have lots of finished product just loitering around in front of me in boxes & trays... and an order arrives for Advent Buttons ...so things were already done for the trunk shows ....

so decision was made to do many decorations on this style of display...

They do look yummy even if under cellophane !

See santa buttons packaged as 3's & I have some cats & birds ....so it is a new sort of journey I think.

 The red birds in 2 sizes are overflowing in this little white bucket.....

Ties are a variety of my special ribbons...

This is a stocking idea..waiting for the needle & thread to attach these buttons

Advent Buttons how I propose to sell them in  the future...

The buttons will never be the same lots of 24...but of course the standard & mix will be as always a delight....

I am loving this size 6cm decorations on the cards also...

again they will change about.....

As I wander along this laneway I will no doubt explore more options

 Another little white bucket ..some angel decorations have been added to santa decorations...

My white buckets are full to overflowing now....

Ideas for buttons & decorations....

These are a cotton/linen mix fabric & rest are felt....waiting for buttons to be stitched on ....& I think I have a hanging tree that takes little space to hang loads of stockings & ideas ...

The plain birds arrived today...

I had slipped them out of one of my decorations & my machinist did the rest....!

I painted them red & off white ...as hard to see without trying...

I thought some decoration added was looking good.....

The off white needed a sparkler too...using Cavellini stamps & some flakes of wood..

They fit well with my other decorations...

Of course I saw a whole tree of the 2 size birds .....7cm & 5 cm....

I work in loads of detail but I do love a flowing design that stands plain for what the drawing was ....

I was against the clock to get these from paper to fabric....

Yesterday as I finished off some orders I was painting...

I determinedly picked up the calico with these images already traced...& painted them.

They will be travelling with me on the trunkshows....now !

I must start to pack the trunkshow samples today..

I found this frame at KMart on the weekend

It is a 12 month slot for baby photos 

Perfect for my mini decorations..

Had to cover over the words & still had some little red words left

Worked perfectly !!

Snowmen feature this season...I love the house high on the hill, this is the second house decoration for this season....

Angel ... bird in the pear tree again...and santa with a bag full of gifts....and the trolley is loaded up with gifts too.
