I am going to have a booth at the July (27 to 30th ) Quilt & Craft show in Melbourne at the Exhibition Centre.

Been a while since I have exhibited ...

I am sooooo EXCITED !!!!!!

I have time to plan & paint & think of all sorts of things

I imagine I will go on the ride ...excited one time, spooked the next...

You know what I figured yesterday....this is instead of moving to another place somewhere...

As many around me make changes to their lives, moving away from where they dwelt, buying camper vans, new homes....

you can imagine that can stir my thoughts....but not so this time...

But this opportunity came out of the blue...

So I have seized the day !!!

I will load onto the website today...just takes a little while to load up...

One off's I call them, as I paint for the pleasure to see how they look...

sometimes I love to do just the variety of perhaps my old market days... & as a shopper I love to find things that there is only one like that there.....

So that is what they are...

Although the green elephant has drawn attraction already ...so I'll think of doing some of those animals in this colour...

maybe I'll save them for the show next year !!

  

Le Jardin big cat has had kittens !!!

I think a green le jardin kitty will look great..

The kittens are so cute.

The deer is a colour experiment as I adore the taupe with white spots ... so he willstay as will the kittens...the mittens I have a few sets & those skinny prim stockings are a single lot

OHHHH I nearly missed the santa.... he has been about & Marg Low used him in a little gift bag pattern.....I needed to fill a shop order for these & have 12 spare in stock

I got a set of the decorations cut to smaller 50mm size..

&

 I won't be painting these way too small for repetitive detailed painting...

 Tried them on this metal tree & they look fine....size fits

The silver tree again rather lovely...but tree needs to be perhaps a lot of these & maybe some red felt decorations to compliment....

 They look great on linen !!!

 This is a heart bag I have had loitering about in a box for a long while

Looks great on combinations

The decorations will look fantastic on some coloured fabric ...but it is always a try & see

Fab for those little bags I purchased  a little while ago...during the advent & tag stage  

Out came the waxy white little bags I bought in Daylesford yesterday ...

Stamp for advent things...

Of course they fit !!!

Working through all this I still have my costs...for the cutting & design....

well a gal needs to eat ...

I don't think they'd fit with my wholesale & retail rates....

So  select ones for special retail price only...

That works ...& falls in with the Advent calendar price style for the celebrations of 20 years designing in business...

Daylesford the sign says ....& that is where I was going to.

Coming out of Newstead I see this amazing steam tractor...

as luck had it..the camera was on the passenger seat...

Amazing encounters at times when I take to the back roads...

 At one of the roundabouts in Daylesford 

I noted a new garden of lavender borders had been planted around the fountain...

I quickly took a picture..

My newest Christmas tree that I found in ECasa in Daylesford...

I am hoping to be able to hang some decorations of mine from it,...if not it will be a marvelleous Christmas photo prop

I got in after I drove home via Castlemaine...

Stopped at the Newsagents for Country Living UK ( a must have )

& Victoria a US must have !!!

Then I got in near 1.45...had a quick lunch,

Picked up the paint brush & began to work

I did more than this but didn't want to bore you tooo much

The cat had enjoyed his day...catflap is now working well LOL

And he is settling more as he stretches his horizons which he did know well...

I decided to call him in earlier than usual as he was far too buzy...

I called once & this is what I saw coming across the stones...

Tail was straight up..& happy to be called !

Finally he is asleep on the bed next to me in here...groaning in his sleep.

I have promised we'd email his Mum tonight...so I will !

In between painting orders yesterday...

Lots of It's been a Long night Santa & deer being painted.....

thanks to Marg Low's stitched design in the hoop using these 2 buttons

I snuck into the sun a few times....

My tiny court yard is perfect....

the tiny table is light so I can move it to suit...

This was to watch the cat settle for a sort of maybe snooze further up in the garden

The silver tree needed blue & silver bling....decorations

So before I finished painting the other afternoon.

I quickly did a few decorations in mostly blue & silver

They look better in the real life than my photographs... you know the camera...I point & click LOL

Karen from Mrs Martin's Quilt Shop showed me these projects a customer had done & is still working on one...I need to paint some things for it...

I asked if it was possible to show & tell these as I just loved the innovations & happiness they had..

I love the fabric panel as the base...

Such a sweet idea....

Val's show & tell of the Advent Calendar

Val has kindly given her consent to show the progress & finished piece of her Advent calendar buttons.

This step is spraying with the misty inks ( Spotlight or scrapbook supplies )

Val waited for spray to dry on canvas board & then stamped using a writing stamp..here & there.

Adding the tapes to give some gorgeous border definitions & see an extra button here & there on the borders

The finished work !!!!

Thanks Val, I really appreciate seeing the finished Advent Calendar & letting us use the pictures.

Yesterday
was a wonderful sunshine, warm day
 &
 I certainly made use of the day.....how much energy I had...
&
today I am like a slug ..
trying to rev myself up to finish painting these birds & deer & santa decorations...

Minutes go by....

I stare...

at nothing in particular ....

And...

I want to get some bundles of buttons ready for the web

for Merry

for 

Christmas...

And now I have a cat in my life again...

I have a litter tray to attend to....

wash it etc...

It has been a long time now since dear Millie departed...

& 

I had her for 16 years..

We  travelled ie moved a bit ...

How did I manage I now wonder ???

Prior to Millie was Mishka ...

Now Oscar,

 who turns 8 at the end of the month....

lives with me now...

He observes the rules...

I catch him watching me as I move around to do things...

So it is new to us both...

Even though he has been an almost constant daily visitor to my home for years..

Time to move & do my things today....

Red Le Chat

Today we welcome Oscar cat to my home to dwell with me......

His owner is moving interstate & at this stage cannot take him ...but hopefully in the future...

So I have become  his guardian & as we know each other quite well....

It is an easier transition ..but we have some things to get to know each other with...

He has slept in the French cane basket that Millie once had & he has had on occasions since & this is his safe spot....in the middle of the house...

Helping his Mum get the house all moved was a big couple of days for everyone involved...

Lovely to be all together not knowing each other....but all pulling our weight to get it all done...

Happily to say it was all cleared yesterday afternoon...

So that just left Oscar & me...

This little slide is small ... but cute picture....

I was getting some stocking button story ready with the red cat & snowflake & realized I didn't have that on the web as an item...is there now. 

I love these long plainish design stockings...I have had them about for years..this time they are larger 7cm & work better I think

I love these star trees when lined up....

 Here is Le Jardin all ready for some Christmas cheer with snowflake...

  Then here is the cat again by itself..

This has been what I have been doing for the last 2 days....

The detail is slower in the cat quilts....& the rims of the decorations

A lovely variety to work on...

I enjoy looking if I take the time when I have finished to enjoy the order I have painted...

This has more more today & then off to a shop in France.

Uh oh...my soon to be resident cat has arrived with lots of flurry & noise...

I am not sure who will get the biggest adjustment !!!!
