Monbulk Quilt Show

Saturday arrived & I drove up the mountain early to arrive at the venue just on 8am..to set up & see many already busy with displays....
The first to see are flowers...
bright & happy cyclamens
grown locally...
Then the girl arrived with those divine bunches of flowers...
It was such a lovely entry to a showing of beautiful quilts
&
equally colourful traders...

Setting up is always new
as
we see the table & space etc
& distractions as other things are all around needing some glance at..as they look so pretty.
The room is  a buzz as I unpack clothes... the display boards...
baskets with buttons in plastic bags inside them for simple setting up.
Tweak a bit....
then the doors were flung open at 9.30 & the first 100 visitors got a sample bag of goodies..
 These roses were so divine..
This is later in the day as things were settling down to the near closing & I got the camera out again
Love this display....Paddy's lot & as beautiful as the quilts on display
The Threads ,turn your head on the side..as this insists on loading like this !!!
Pam hand paints all these threads to get the variations in colours..
Just beautiful.
