Earliest Stories

copyright Barbara Smith
I was in a box sorting out fabric
then there was a carton to explore
Found files from old computer...
And in that process of looking at them all.
Well distractions are great things....
I found these stories I had designs years & years ( 199....something ) ago
with my Brooch Designs
Rather like them ...
I did so many of these brooches & I looked at another file
that reminded me of how much work was involved.
Hair was wound around my finger & tied in centre & hot glued to the tiny head
....
Then these showed up...
Fabric Painted panels that became quilts & cushions
These designs are from Bless Them Stitchers and A year in the Country stitchery books
of mine

Then more brooches...
Isabella, Marsha ,Lucinda I think
Some dressed in different colours & clothes.
They look so different & that is what I adore with creativeness.
It's the same base design but coloured in differently or the same applies with fabric doesn't it ?
All these designs were traded under WOODCUTTER'S DAUGHTER
and
of course I still hold copyright

These are so lovely Barb,in fact totally adorable. I would so love to see these stitchery stories or buttons available. Living in N.Z haven't seen them so will watch out on your website for future stitchery/button projects.Shirley
